A decade ago filmmaker Peter Jackson took film audiences on a journey into the world of J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium with his blockbuster The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, bringing to life the characters and settings that Tolkien's fans had only imagined.
Robert Tonner continues Jackson's journey, taking the films' beloved characters and crafting a series of exquisite collector dolls. As a Ranger of the North, the Dunedain Aragorn is known as Strider, and none that he protects know that he is the heir to the throne of Gondor.
Aragorn's beloved, the immortal elf Arwen Evenstar, lives in the Elvish retreat of Rivendell along the river Bruinen. Tonner recreates both characters, based on their appearance in the film with meticulous replicas of the costumes worn, hand-painted facial sculpts, and deeply-rooted saran hair. Fans of the film and Tolkieniana collectors will want to add this deeply romantic pair of dolls to their collections.
